All and all, I would not recommend Morrison’s Lodge as fine dining. Just an OK restaurant, however WAY over priced for the quality of food.

Best place in Oregon
Great place..peace , quiet, great food, great hospitality, great accomodations...absolutely nothing to find in the negative. Will definitely be back!!!
Well, let me start by saying, this is NOT even close to the “best dining experience” in Southern Oregon. Maybe mid-range at best. The service was great, but the food and atmosphere were not even close to what was advertise or expected. For the price of the meals, this was a no-repeat or definitely not a recommendation to visitors and guest if mine.
We were truly looking forward to dining at Morrison’s considering all the hype in the news about a new top chef they employed. He must have been on vacation or something.
I can't understand why anybody would rate the food highly.
The seafood appetizer was fairly well made and smothered in hollandaise sauce, which would have been OK except for the tender loin also had the sauce on it. Too much…for a 4 course meal!
The salad and “house made” dressing were nothing to get excited over.
Their menu for the night was the Tiger Prawns and/or beef tender lion with hollandaise sauce. While the beef was oven roasted to perfection (tenderness and not overdone) the hollandaise sauce was a bit of a downer. The Prawns were breaded and deep fried. Kind of reminded me of something I would buy from Costco in the frozen section. The veggies were roasted and OK.
Wow! Did I say Wow? This was an amazing experience. The staff is knowledgeable, entertaining, and reassuring. My family and I have never gone rafting and this seemed to be a scary enterprise. Although thrilling, at no time did I feel concerned. What a beautiful country. We stayed at Morrison's Lodge and it was the frosting on the cake! Great place, amazing food, and oh let me say it again, WOW! We will be back!!!!
